Fall is upon us!

Here on the Oregon Coast, this time of year means fewer tourists, quieter beaches, creative layering attire to accommodate 40 degree mornings and 70 degree afternoons! It also means the start of school!

As you may already know. the Nestucca Valley School Superintendent, Misty Wharton has taken her consistently conservative approach with her eye on the health and safety of our children and families in the community. Along with the Neah-kah-Nie School District, we have pushed back our start of school to Monday, September 13th.

All of our staff just came back to work on Monday, August 30th. The teachers are working to develop their classroom rosters (we currently have 41 enrolled!) so they can start reaching out to families. Please keep in mind, they will not have many answers to questions about school re-opening, COVID protocols, etc. Their goal is to simply introduce themselves to you and learn about you and your students.

More information will be coming from the Oregon Department of Education and the Early Learning Division re: how can implement our Preschool Promise programs across Tillamook County. You are always welcome to reach out to me at or 503-392-3194 x455

Don't forget to sign up for our new Ready! for Kindergarten sessions. You can find the link on the "Our Programs" page on this website.

Thank you!
